Examples related to Google - & the need for a solid Legal Team behind you
⇒ Google, the leader is search engines, abet digital pirates by pointing Internet users to web pages containing illegal files. (See images 2 & 3)
⇒ Google-owned Blogger is used by some pirates to embed the streaming video on to their blog, which is then free to view.
⇒ Google owned YouTube (See image 1) showcases clips of sporting events, full movies, songs, etc., which can be viewed with ease.
In the case of YouTube or Google Videos, neither Google nor the users uploading the clips usually will have paid for the rights.
Google also profits from 'sponsored ads' of illegal sites. Google Checkout is allegedly used by some sites to charge customers for a telecast they have essentially stolen.
The good news though is that Google (whose tag line is "do no harm") usually take out an offending site from their results if and when a proper legal notice is send to them. They also remove objectionable content from YouTube and Google Videos. But very few corporations do this - mainly because (1) they don't know there is a problem in the first place, (2) they may not know how to tackle the problem, or (3) maybe because they don't understand the gravity of the problem.
There are numerous other ways pirates use to sell their loot. Our Technical team will always be on the lookout for them, and the Legal team will make sure we do everything possible to bring you justice. With our vast experience in handling such cases, we can bring results faster and efficiently.
